Cornelius Boles/Boyles was born 27 Aug 1768 in Ireland - maybe Pennsylvania - of unknown parentage. He died 26 Aug 1821 and was buried in the Cross Creek Graveyard in Washington Co, PA. He was married on 27 Aug 1795 to Nancy Buxton in Cross Creek Twp PA. Nacy was born 4 Feb 1777 in Washington Co PA to Jacob Buxton and Hannah Young. She died 19 Apr 1864 and was buried with her husband. George Howard Boles son of James Cyrus Boles and Jane B Underhill was born 6 Jul 1857 at Cambridge, Gurnsey Co, OH. George died 6 Aug 1925 at Brownsville, Linn Co, Oregon. He is buried at Fairview Cemetery. When he was 7 or 8 yrs old, he traveled with his parents to Cherokee Co IA where in married Clarissa Wical on 30 Oct 1878. (Clarissa was born 10 Mar 1854, Johnson Co, Iowa City, IA to Cyrus Wical and Edna Higgins. Clarissa died 28 OCt 1907 at Fairview MT and is buried at the Fairview Cemetery). George's second marriage in 1911 was brief. Family rumor is that his wife didn't get along with the children and that eventually she had set the house on fire and left. James Cyrus Boles born 5 Aug 1833 in Washington Co, PA was the son of John Boles and Mary Jane McGee. He died about 1900. He was married 11 Jan 1855 at Cambridge, Gurnsey Co, OH to Jane B Underhill. Jane Underhill was the daughter of Samuel Underhill and Elizabeth Anne Rolins born 24 or 25 Aug 1835, Guernsey Co OH. James is listed as a carpenter in the 1860 OH census. John Boles was the son of Cornelius Boles and Nancy Buxton. He was born 29 Mar 1807 at Cross Creek, Washington Co, PA and died 3 Jan 1892 at Alta, Buena Vista Co, IA. He married Mary Jane McGee 11 Oct 1832 in Washington Co. She was born 23 Feb 1812 in Cross Creek to John McGee and Hannah Virtue. She died 29 Nov 1851 at Cambridge OH shortly after the birth of her last son. John Boles then married Margaret McMullen. Margaret was born 22 May 1852 in Ireland and her parentage is unknown. She died 8 Jun 1894 in Alta, Buena Vista Co, IA. The John Boles family moved to OH about 1842. In the 1850 OH census, John Bowles is listed as a farmer in Adams Twp, Guernsey Co. Timothy Calkins was the son of Stephen Calkins and Mary Curtis. He was born 16 Oct 1747 in Litchfield Co, CT. He married his 1st cousin, Eunice Curtice Calkins, on 3 May 1770 at Sharon CT. Eunice was the daughter of John Calkins and Elizabeth Curtis. She was born 15 Oct 1749 at Sharon CT. Josiah Deming was the son of Ebenezer Deming and Sarah Grant. He was born about 1688 at Wethersfield, Litchfield Co, CT. He died 12 Aug 1761 at Newington, Hartford Co, CT. He married Prudence Steele on 8 Dec 1714 at Wethersfield. She was the daughter of Capt James Steele and Ann Welles. She was born 17 Jan 1693ish and died 10 Jul 1752. Josiah on 11 Aug 1756 married Experience Smith. Mark Harrison Deming son of William Robert Deming and Rachel Janette Warner was born 30 Apr 1877 at Wyoming, Jones Co, IA. Mark died on 30 Jul 1956 at Sidney, Richland Co, MT and was buried in the Fairview Cemetary. Mark had moved with his parents, by covered wagon from Wyoming Twp, Jones Co IA about 1883, to Dakota Territory. Mark was married 26 Nov 1903 at Carthage, Miner Co, SD to Ethel Mae Boles. (Ethel was born 9 Jul 1881 in IA, daughter of George Howard Boles and Clarissa Wical. Robert Howard Deming son of Mark Harrison Deming and Ethel Mae Boles was born 28 Oct 1905 in Carthage, Miner Co, SD. He died 16 Jan 1973 in Sidney MT and is buried at the Fairview Cemetary. Robert was married on 11 Jun 1930 at Fairview to Edith Mae Collins. Robert and Edith lived in Sidney MT where Robert worked for a time at the Yellowstone Mercantile Co. Robert also worked for the Fairview Chemical Co for a time as a salesman. His father, Mark and uncle Will owned and operated the Company in Farivew MT. About 1936 Robert and Edith moved to Humboldt, SD and robert continued as a traveling salesman for the Chemical Co. In 1943, they returned to Fairview and farmed for the next 17 yrs. In 1960, Robert retired from farming and opened the Men's Wear shop in Fairview operating that business until Robert retired in 1972. Soloman Deming was born 1806 in New York, the son of Soloman Deming and Eunice Caulkins. He died 12 Jun 1871. He was married in 1828 to Nancy Newville in Saratoga Co, New York. During the 1840 census, Solomon Demming was at Day Town, Saratoga Co, NY and in the 1860 census he was at Birdsall, Alleghany Co, NY.(In the 1840 census, other Deming households were: Mary Deming, born 1750 - 60; Asa Demming, born 1770 - 80; John A. He was married at Greenfiled NY to Eunice Calkins. Eunice died 30 Apr 1867 at Day, Sratoga Co NY and was buried there. Eunice Calkins was born 1870 to Timothy Calkins and Eunice of Sharon, Litchfield Co, CT. After Soloman's death, Eunice married Moses Hayden, son of Moses Hayden. Robert was married on 1 Jan 1855 to Rachel Janette Warner (born 22 Feb 1835 - maybe 1832, Erie Co, Erie PA to Parley Warner and Margaret Renwick. Died 19 Jan 1909 in Sanborn Co, SD, buried at Artesian Cemetery.) In 1864, they moved to Wyoming Twp, Jones Co, IA where William was listed in the census as a shoemaker. John Higgins was born about 1801 in England, possibly the son of William Higgins. He married Mary, or Sara Jane, in England about 1821. She was born about 1802 in England. They migrated to America 1831 - 1833 and they were first in PA until about 1834. By 1842, they were in OH and by 1846 in IA. In the 1850 IA census, John Higins was a farmer and had a 77 yr old William Higins born in England, in his household. Children of John and Mary Higgins: Sarah Jane (married ?? She was born 7 May 1817 in Washington DC to Jonathan Rollins and Nancy Tracey or Sarah A ??. She died 28 Nov 1905 at Cherokee IA. Parley Warner, parentage unknown, was born about 1790 in CT or PA. Married about 1818 to Margaret Renwick. Margaret was born about 1799 in England, her parentage is unknown also. During the 1830 census, Parly and his family were in Venango Twp, Erie Co, PA and by 1840 they were in Allegany Co, NY. Cyrus Wical was the son of Daniel Wical. Cyrus was born in early 1830, Licking Co OH. Cyrus died in the Battle of Winchester (Civil War) on 19 Sep 1864)at Winchester VA. He is buried in the Nation Cemetery, Lot 76. He married Edna Higgins on 1 Mar 1853 in Iowa City, JOhnson Co, IA. Edna Higgins was born 16 Sep 1833, Philadelphia PA to John and Mary Higgins. She died 20 Sep 1907 at Toledo, Tama Co, IA. Listed in the 1860 Iowas census as Cyrus Wikoff. At that time, Edna's brother, Saul Higgins (age 29) his wife and 2 children were living with Edna and Cyrus. Daniel Wical was born about 1797 in VA, his parentage is unknown, but it is suspected he is the son or grandson of Jacob Wickle. Daniel married Ruth about 1791 in VA, her parentage is unknown. By 1821, Daniel and his family were living in OH. By 1830, Daniel Wikle and family were in Licking Co OH. In 1850, Daniel and his family were in Knox Co, Milford Twp OH and in 1870, Liberty Twp, Johnson Co, OH. Children of Daniel and Ruth Wical: 2 daughters and one son, not named, born between 1815 and 1819, George Wical (married Fanny ??), daugher born abt 1825, Cyrus Wical (married Edna Higgins), and Emily Wical.
